The inspiration for this work came from the hydrangea blooming in the backyard. From the beautiful pink of the flowers and how after the rain they sink heavily to the ground - like some strange fruit. I borrowed the name from Tommy Taberman's poem You can't find your way without getting lost.

"Who come by the straightest way, arrive with empty pockets. Who have beaten all the paths, come with flashing eyes, knees on the ground, strange fruits in their fragile sack So it is my friend, so it is, that without getting lost you won't get there"

The work is painted with acrylic colors on canvas. At the back, the wedges are supported by a lattice. The edges are not painted. The work is ready to hang, there is an iron wire for hanging.

This work has been in an exhibition. Signature on the front and back of the piece.

Price: 3140 euro
