Svetlana Ruoho: Kirsikkapuiden varjossa on maailmaan rauha
In my paintings, bright pink tones, scenes observed in Roihuvuori Cherry Park, and Japanese anime characters come together in a communal, relaxed, and slightly fairy-tale-like picnic atmosphere. The works convey feelings of happiness, peace, vitality, and freedom.
I wanted to bring both real and imaginary characters — along with their pets — into the same piece, creating their world through my own artistic vision and imagination.
This luminous pink artwork consists of two parts, each functioning as an independent piece. The whole is also designed as a mobile version, meaning the canvases can be interchanged. Swapping the panels creates a new composition and offers a fresh visual perspective while preserving their harmonious connection. This makes the work dynamic and multifaceted, inviting the viewer to experience it in a new way each time.
