Snow Plough and a Child / Lumiaura ja lapsi (2021) is in turn based on a childhood reminiscence. The plough approached my brother and myself from behind. Gleefully, we jumped to the side of the road to wait for the upcoming shower of snow. The driver noticed us, came out of his cabin and told us that our play was dangerous. We only realized it then.


I wanted to paint into this work the sensation of whirling snow, the contrast between levity and threat.
