Cloud Castles - In my dreams, everything was fine.
In the fall of 2021, I created models for my work proposal set in the new university hospital in Oulu. The installation site of the work is 13.5 meters high, so the models were nearly three meters tall at a scale of 1:4. The sketches had to be made as tall as the workspace allowed in order to ensure that the width of the work would be sufficient to somewhat reliably model the fabric's descent. In the final piece, the width of the fabric is 150 cm while it is 37 cm in the sketch. The material I worked on for the sketches has been tempting in its box. Now that the new Oys has officially opened, I return to these light strips and begin to mathematically calculate what kind of castles in the air I can build from them. What are the dreams that cannot be forgotten? What is the vision that is about to fade?
