Artist’s Statement
I am a visual artist based in Helsinki (born in 1969 in Varkaus, Finland). I graduated as a visual artist from Imatra Art School in 1998 and I have a master's degree in fine art from the University of Art and Design Helsinki in 2004.
My artistic themes range from questions about subjective and personal experiences to societal issues such as the power of media. I have participated in several private and group exhibitions in Finland. Abroad, my works have been exhibited in the USA, Turkey and Sweden. The techniques of my works vary from photography and painting to performance art. I have also published a book of poems.
