Technique: Performance

Before the municipal election day of 2012, I conducted a series of performances in different areas of Helsinki. These performances were performed in four different squares and the Kamppi shopping center. The places I visited are located in the center of the city, in Itäkeskus and in the Malmi area.

During the performances I asked passers-by if the gender or the sexual orientation of the electoral candidate matters when people are casting their vote.

The majority of the people I talked to were neutral when discussing the gender or sexual orientation of the candidates.
